I see the Moon

I was afraid that my moon picture would be crappy...because all I have is a point and shoot camera, although it is a pretty good one ... but still, no tripod and no super cool lens.  But here is the good moon picture (out of like 20 where 19 look like blurry balls in the sky)

When I think of the moon I think of the song my mom sang to me, and the song I sing to Leah:

"I see the moon / the moon sees me / the moon sees the one / that I want to see / God bless the moon / and God bless me / and God bless the one I want to see.

I believe that God above / created you / for me to love. / He picked you out / from all the rest / because He knew / I love you best.

I once had a heart / as good as new / and now it's gone / from me to you / take good care / as I have done / as you have two / and I have none."

Fix it Friday Twins

Yay!  It's time to play with editing on Fix it Friday with Iheartfaces!

Today's photo is of two adorable twins:
This week's photo was submitted by JaimeLee at Candidly Grateful Here is what she wrote about her photo: "This is a photo of my twins at 6 weeks old. I love the photo because of their interaction and their faces, but I feel like it’s a little drab or flat. It needs some life."

Here are my fun fixes!

Scrapping Challenge

I'm trying to enter into a 'Scraplifting' Challenge over at Stuff to Scrap, and it tells me I need a url to upload my picture ... so I guess I'll post it here first, lol!

Before and After - ness

This is a super fun blog hop!  Leah grabbed a hat the other day and put it on Audrey's head ... and it turned into a photo shoot.  When I put them on the computer, I was very not happy with how they looked.  I'm not even sure I like it too much with the edit, but oh well :-)  Here's one picture from our mini-shoot:

An Outside Evening

I have a few pictures to share today with Lisa on Black and White Wednesday.  These were taken this weekend as we took advantage of the lovely cool Southern evening.
Leah covered her step stool with her blankets.  Reminds me of a photo shoot, but I couldn't get her to sit still on it, lol!
It sure is hard to get a good picture of a baby who is sitting in your lap, especially if she is easily distracted by a loud two-year old.
The sun was perfect for me to practice taking sun-flair shots.  I got some wonderful ones of just the sun, but this is my favorite (when I finally got Leah to stand in a good spot).  Hope yall have a great Wednesday, and visit Lisa for more black and white pictures!

Yellow, yellow

Colors seem to be the theme this week!  Iheartfaces is yellow, yellow, bright sunny yellow!  Perfect for a playground on Easter picture!  This is my oldest Leah loving the playground!

A picture in pink

I love finding new photo challenges, and this one is brand new!  Two Moms Made a Photo Challenge

This week's theme is pink...here's my pink picture!  This was tough because having two little princesses means you have alot of pink!  This is Audrey, my youngest...

Little Fingers

Paper Mama's weekly challenge is fingerprints.  I love little baby fingers!
This is my youngest eating her fingers.  She just started teething and nothing is safe around her anymore, lol!

Yellow - Black & White

In a Yellow House photo challenge this week is black and white!  You have until 8pm tonight to enter!
Here is my entry:  Leah on her tip-toes and her pony --

Fix it Friday 6

This week the picture is from Shelle at Mommy can't Sing.  Finally someone I know!
She wrote: "This is a photo of my 16 months old baby girl. I am currently doing a 365 challenge where I take at least one photo per day. This was one of the photos. Unfortunately, before Daylight Savings a lot of time I was scrambling to take a photo before the light was gone. Well, in this photo it was beyond gone! But my baby was sitting there so sweetly that I couldn't resist taking her photo. The color is bad and the background is messy, but just love her face!"

Her are my fixes!

We Are Nashville

This is a photo I've posted on here before, but I added some hometown pride flair.  I'm sure you've heard of the floods in Nashville, and I have never been more proud than to live in such an amazing city!

I have also been so busy getting the word out about my brand new business venture CaA designs.  Click the link to know more!  I'm looking for one more person to do a review / giveaway on their blog ... so let me know if you would be interested!  Visit Lisa for more black and white Wednesdays!

Fix it Friday 5

I love editing!  I love taking a picture and seeing what new and interesting things I can make from it!  And I love Iheartfaces 's Fix it Friday!!!!

Today's photo:

This week's photo was submitted by Christina from 3 Sweet P's. She wrote: "This is a photo of my 2 year-old Parker. I am bothered by the harsh shadow on his face and the washed out colors of the photo. His eyes are a beautiful blue and you just can't see that. I would love to see what you guys can come up with!"

Well Christina...here are my edits!
I tried the straight on edit, but the light on the side of his face bothers me too!
So I flipped the picture!  Except I'm not sure I like the boost on the colors here...
I love black and white with the pop of color ... one of my favorite edits!
Flipped the picture again, but I think I sharpened this one too much
This is my favorite!  So...maybe you don't have to always have a close-up unique crop to love a picture!
Happy Friday!!!!!

Before and After #4

It's time for Before and After at Pixel Perfect!  I've been playing around with different and new editing techniques.  I really like this edit because the after doesn't even look like a photograph.  Instead it totally looks like something that could've been drawn.  There's always something about an abandoned or run-down building that screams, take a picture of me!  Tell my story to the world.  I was once the coolest place in the city, but now this is all that remains.

What?  Buildings don't talk to you?  Well, listen because they have amazing stories!  This was taken in Montgomery, AL.

Curiosity finds new toys

Holy photo bug I've found another photo challenge!  Yippie!  I'm destined to win one ... one day ... right?  This challenge focus on your kids whether your kids are children, dogs, cats, etc.  The theme this week is curiosity.  This photo is from the first time we put Audrey in her bouncer thingie...she loves all the little toys on it!
Click the button above to find more curious pictures!

Pets!

Yay for new photo challenges!  This one is themed around pets!  This picture is of a sweet little kitten.  We fostered her mom when she was pregnant.  The momma had 7 kittens and we have found homes for all of them except this sweet baby.  Kinda thinking about keeping her, but we really need to find a home for the momma!  Oh well, onto the picture!
